According to many experts the duel between the Czech Republic and Switzerland decide the winner of Staropramen Cup. At the beginning of the tournament Switzerland beat Slovakia without any major difficulties and the home team also coped with Norway well.
The second Friday match saw Norwegian Vikings against the Czech national team. A balanced duel was expected but that changed after the first few minutes.
During the whole match the Swiss team was working like a Swiss watch and did not give the Slovaks any chance. Emanuel Antener had a huge share in the score that at the end came to 10:3. The attacker Könizu scored one goal and assisted twice.
Even though the mayor Štěpánka Fraňková was not present, the representatives of all four national teams were welcomed at the city hall by the deputy mayors František Brendl and Jiří Rozinek.
Already this weekend the Norwegian national team is coming to Staropramen Cup in Pardubice and they will bring along their biggest star: Ketil Kronberg. It will not be the first time in the Czech Republic for this thirty-two years old icon of Norwegian floorball and a team-mate of Milan Tomašík´s from the Swedish Dalen.
It is not only floorball what the Czech national team has ahead of them. Staropramen Cup is a very important event for the city of Pardubice and thus there will be lots of accompanying program for the players. Thanks to the children´s tournaments the players will definitely have no time to be bored.

Two foreign pairs of referees - a Finnish and a Polish one - will introduce themselves at the STAROPRAMEN CUP in September. The country of a thousand lakes will be represented by Mikko Alakare and Vesa Vilkki. Aleksander Bienkowski and Marek Chomnicki will come from Poland.
